Above goals may seem farfetched, but I believe that anything is possible, and I am going to work my b*tt off to accomplish them.

My name is Carson Horspool and I like to party. I'm a Senior at Pine View High School in St. George Utah. Captain of the Cross Country team. I’m 18 and a good kid and have a great life because I make good choices.. most of the time. Love competing and Track and Cross country are perfect examples of competition.

​Long run up to green springs. Meant to do reverse Washington Parkway loop but got lost somewhere so just ran circles all over the neighborhood. Not very tough for me, but it seemed to be for others.

Slept way toooo long xD

Was on a campout with Corbin Logan Colton and Parker, and we ran up to some sick red cliffs in Warner Valley. Stopped halfway through the run and just climbed up them. Pretty stupid and dangerous, but the view from on top was wizard.

Had the 6 minute test today. Run as far as you can in 6 minutes. My main goal was to get 5 laps in, and the furthest I wanted to get was 2100 meters. Finished with 2016 meters, and I was very satisfied. I am SO ready to race on the track this season.

Nice chill long run with Colton Logan and Corbin. Went up Foremaster and down the other side onto the river trail. Ended up looping back near the high school with 20 minutes left still, so we had to extend hardcore. Then Logan and I still had to extent 15 more because we are level 3. Wowzers that sure was fun.

Long run with 3 sets of 1x1x2 pickups. Had to go to the bathroom so I got left and had no idea where everyone went. Luckily some kids were still hanging out at the high school (for reasons unknown) and they directed me to my friends. Ended up catching up to them like 2.5 miles in, and discovered that I started 5 minutes after them. Average pace of 6:46 which is hecka fast for a long run, but it wasn't that hard so that's good.

Chill Hilly run up to Green Springs. Lost "What Are the Odds" and I had to carry a piece of a cinderblock the whole run. Probably gained quite a bit of muscle from it, so I wasn't upset that I lost.

Woke up this morning and Dallen was sick so he couldn't go to the St George 5k, so I went in his place. Ran a sick race against Colin from Skyridge. Took turns leading throughout, and I passed him at the end with a major kick. Got a bunch of dope stuff for winning. Thanks Dallen <3

Went out and did Suicidal Tendencies with the team. One of my favorite trails. Not a hard run surprisingly. Celebrated and had doughnuts for Coach Roberts's birthday. There were 8 donuts leftover and I took them home and I'm probably going to die because I ate 7 of them throughout the day... oops.

Nice workout today. Not sure the name of it, but it's 3x60 second at tempo, then 3x60 second threshold, then 5x30 second critical velocity. Then do it all again but backwards. My paces were a bit quicker than the others, so I was up front a bit every time. Not that hard of a workout but it got our legs moving and that's good.

Super duper rainy run. Was fun and Julien's face looked messed up because he was wet and cold, and I started making fun of him, then my face got all tensed up and froze and I looked like an idiot. It was really cold and miserable but it was a good experience I guess. Had striders after too and they sucked.

Dope run will Alex and Julien up into the desert past Alex's house. On the way back Alex's back started hurting and at first I thought he was being a wuss, but then it got to the point where he couldn't run anymore so he walked through the desert up to the road and Julien and I went and got in the car and drove like 5 blocks to pick Alex up, and we found him lying down on the sidewalk sprawled out like he was dead. He got a little better and we went to Denny's to celebrate his OKness.

Tempo Threshold Critical Velocity whatever workout. We tried some weird strategy where we would all go in different lanes to make up for distance, and it was just confusing so I gave up. I'd rather get used to running in lane 1 then figure out distances for lane 8

Tempo!! Finally got to go quick because Trevor came to help at practice today and run up in the front with me. I ended up catching up and lapping the rest of the guys, and they invited me to run with them but go to lane 8 so that I could keep my pace, and I turned them down. At first I kinda felt bad but I was just doin my thing and so in the zone I didn't want to have to change everything. I hope it's like that in the races -- me in the front not having to base my speed off of someone else.

Nice run all by my lonesome up turtle road. Stopped halfway through to admire the desert wildlife. Fast finish on the way back. I hope my wife will be as hot as Southern Utah, but that probably won't happen because it is 9.8/10

Took a nap on accident today. Was reading Running for My Life (about Lopez Lomong-defs best book) and just dozed off. I haven't taken a nap since like XC season and I rarely even took them then. It definitely messed up the rest of the day.

Long runnnn. Recovery week so we did less minutes than normal. Had to go to the bathroom SUPER bad so I had to break off of the pack and stop halfway through the run. I ended up finding them near the end of the run, so I finished with them then ran 10 more minutes by myself. Not a hard run at all
