| | 90 minute long run + 25 afternoon
2-1-3-2-1-2 pickups with 5 minute recovery in between each rep. Towards end of run
Nice dope long run. Coach talked about being dedicated and hard working in the morning during the run and then we had a meeting right before practice and he shared a quote from Pre that says "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." I've heard this quote plenty of times because I love Pre and I'll probably marry him in the afterlife or something. But anyways... It really comforted me, but worried me at the same time. I know for a fact that I am all in when it comes to my effort in running. I want to go somewhere in life because of running, so I give it everything I've got. What worries me is the fact that there are so many others who say the same thing, but they really don't care. They slack off on workouts or do stupid things that prevent them from running their best. I'm going to start taking a stand against idiocracy and start holding my teamates accountable. I know I want to succeed, but I'm not sure if everyone else does.

4x1200 at CV pace with equal recovery
Easy cheesy. Sike. Not sure why, but this workout was pretty tough not just for me, but for everyone else too. Our range was 3:54-4:00 and me and Julien were right by each other and hit 3:53, 3:55, low 3:56, and finished with a 3:53. We were quite a bit of everyone else and they seemed to be hitting low 4's which is slower than our range. Not really sure if it was the heat or the fact that we did a long run yesterday, but it was a tough workout. Not tough enough that we couldn't do it, but definitely harder than usual.

| | 25 morning + 50 afternoon
Nice run into Washington and to Danberg's. I almost killed everyone by running through a crosswalk because I thought it was safe. Very grateful that the driver was a smart driver and didn't run us all over. JK he probably wasn't close enough that he would have hit us, but still there was a car coming and we were in the crosswalk. Feeling really good considering we had a long run on Monday and a tough workout yesterday so that's good.

4x200 accells after run
It started pooring right before our run and it was FREEZING and the last few days have been super run so it was way weird. We had a meeting in coach's room before instead of talking in the freezing rain, and by the time we were done it had stopped raining. Nice chill shoe run and once again I almost took us through a crosswalk that wasn't good to go through, but I screamed my lungs out that it wasn't safe, and saved a solid potential maybe 3 lives I bet. Just kidding but we are all alive and that's all that matters. Ready for the 1600 tomorrow. Not gonna stress so much about it because I've found that all that does is messes me up, so I'm just gonna show up and try my best.

Pine View Invitational (0.994 Miles) 04:32:55, Place overall: 12, Place in age division: 4 | | 25 morning and yoga + 50 afternoon with 1600m race
Nice 1600m race. It was weird because I forgot how hard you actually have to go in the 1600. I was definitely tired, and barely hit state qualifying by .3 seconds, so lucky me. Dallen had a really good race and I was happy that he qualified too. Got a little sunburnt today, and got a lot of comments about how dope my Stop Pre shirt is. Excited to throw down in the 3200 tomorrow.

Pine View Invitational (2 Miles) 09:40:27, Place overall: 6, Place in age division: 2 | | About 50 minutes total.
Forgot to track my cooldown on my watch, and we just jogged around the football field so I have no idea how far/long we ran. But it doesn't matter because I ran a flipping 9:40 3200!!! Super proud and happy and ugh it was awesome. My form was sluggish in my 1 mile yesterday, so I tried to focus really hard on picking my knees up the whole time during the race today, and it worked! We started out good and I think I was in about 12 place when we hit the first mile at 4:50. The front people probably hit a solid low 40's, and that's cruisin. None of them really managed to keep that pace going for the rest of the race, and I could definitely tell. I was feeling super good and was going super quick towards the end, and it seemed like everyone was slowing down a lot. My last lap ended up being like a 1:05 so that's pretty awesome. I almost caught Jaden too. Definitely learned a lot and I'm ready to shave off more and more time so that I can hit that 9:20.
