Long-Term Running Goals:

Maintain a 4.0 and score higher than a 32 on the ACT

Get a good Scholarship and run super good in college

Go to the Olympics 
Become a famous Ath-e-lete.
Above goals may seem farfetched, but I believe that anything is possible, and I am going to work my b*tt off to accomplish them.


My name is Carson Horspool and I like to party. I'm a Senior at Pine View High School in St. George Utah. Captain of the Cross Country team. I’m 18 and a good kid and have a great life because I make good choices.. most of the time. Love competing and Track and Cross country are perfect examples of competition.

Gave a talk in church about goals and related 96% of it to running. Great things have come from running, and I'm thankful I got into it.

Went out and did Suicidal Tendencies with the team. One of my favorite trails. Not a hard run surprisingly. Celebrated and had doughnuts for Coach Roberts's birthday. There were 8 donuts leftover and I took them home and I'm probably going to die because I ate 7 of them throughout the day... oops.

weights plus morning run--15:00



Nice workout today. Not sure the name of it, but it's 3x60 second at tempo, then 3x60 second threshold, then 5x30 second critical velocity. Then do it all again but backwards. My paces were a bit quicker than the others, so I was up front a bit every time. Not that hard of a workout but it got our legs moving and that's good.

AAYYYYEEEEE    easy run ath. Chill pace to recover from our hard run on monday and our workout yesterday. I need to learn how a watch works because I forgot to start it when we stopped at a crosswalk, and I saved it somehow in the middle of the run when we were still running. smh

Nice tempo workout today. Average of 6:20 pace. Julien and I started out a bit slow, but then we picked it back up and we were on pace the rest of the time. I love running quick for a long time.

Super duper rainy run. Was fun and Julien's face looked messed up because he was wet and cold, and I started making fun of him, then my face got all tensed up and froze and I looked like an idiot. It was really cold and miserable but it was a good experience I guess. Had striders after too and they sucked.

Dope run will Alex and Julien up into the desert past Alex's house. On the way back Alex's back started hurting and at first I thought he was being a wuss, but then it got to the point where he couldn't run anymore so he walked through the desert up to the road and Julien and I went and got in the car and drove like 5 blocks to pick Alex up, and we found him lying down on the sidewalk sprawled out like he was dead. He got a little better and we went to Denny's to celebrate his OKness.
