15 warm then race then 15 cool

Nike Southwest Regionals was a fun time. I settled a little too early in the race, but still ran pretty fast I think. Connected with Alex at about 800 meters in. First mile was sub 5 (because I leaned over the line hehehe) and I feel like we were in like 80th place or so, and the rest of the race we just passed people. Started to gap Alex and came past 2 miles at about 10:10 and that was also pretty good I thought. Ended with like a 16:00 something. I surged just as I had planned in the zone where I pooped out the last two years and then just continued it hard into the finish because I realized that it was my last race:( passed like 10-20 people in the finishing chute which sucks to me because I could’ve passed like 30 if I would’ve put that energy into my second mile. Overall it was a pretty good last race. I achieved my goal of running hard through the pain and not being a wuss (but I think that happened because I wasn’t going incredibly fast), but I definitely missed my target of being top 30. Oh well.

Sad to say my time with PVXC is over, but it was an absolutely amazing time. Thanks to my bros for being Bros and believing in me, and thanks to my coaches for being the best. Thanks to my mom as well for being way better than anyone else’s moms.

Footlocker here we come, and onto freaking track season. #Rekt.
