My name is Carson Horspool and I like to party. I'm a Senior at Pine View High School in St. George Utah. Captain of the Cross Country team. I’m 18 and a good kid and have a great life because I make good choices.. most of the time. Love competing and Track and Cross country are perfect examples of competition.

this 2 week break had a major change in temp. It went from maybe long sleeves in the morning to needing a beanie, tights, and gloves. Freezing and mostly quiet run with Colton. Kinda quick too so that was cool

the distance of this run explains how terrible it was. I got to HS at 8 to run with Colton or corbin or logan, whoever was gonna show up because we just threw out a time, and no one came.. so I was alone, it was cold, and my legs are suuuper tight, so the run just sucked. I even flipped at 25 minutes to cut it short and I ran back really slow. Good shake out run though!

Well shooooot. After yesterday’s terrible run my IT band was hurting all day and I could barely lift my leg up without it hurting. Stretched it and such but on the run today I got down the fire station hill and then when I was coming up the other side I could hardley drag my leg to get up it (even though it was the small side). Just took it in to my house from there and didn’t finish my pickups. Probably going to take tomorrow off just to be safe and I’ll keep stretching it and icing and stuff.  

 

Update: yeah definitely taking tomorrow off I can barely walk up the stairs without a lot of pain.. shoot

Some guy at work today asked what I ran in track because I was wearing one of my jackets and I said 16 and 32 and he asked what my 16 time was and what the record was and I was like “yeah some guys from up north are freaking fast. Ben Saarel from park city has it” and he’s like “yeah I know I coached Ben that’s why I was asking.” So I was like no way and he told me he coached him in soccer and he was crazy fast and could go forever and I was just like dang dope. Pretty cool idk why I shared it but yeah
